Gameplay
Explore Mode
Kaelly is devastating because she automatically inflicts Poison and has Hex Bolt (+1W DEX, Hex) for more Statuses. Move: 7 Surefoot keeps her moving, and Stealth means that it's hard to shoot back when she targets a Hero. Lastly, she can support a group of monsters with Dark Aura (Aura 2, Stealth).
Additional Info
The Arcade version has Dark Aura as a Signature action.
NOTICE: The Arcade version has Surefoot, which is now given to all monsters in 2.0.
Vs. SUPER
You may be getting into a tough fight when she appears, but there are two ways to make things easier.
The Cursed Captain, Deeproot Druid and Archpoisoner are immune to her attacks, with the Poisoner being both stronger and having a way to make her easier to hit. There aren't any models that can shrug off HEX, so you'll need to find ways to prevent it during the game.
She not only has Stealth, but she can give it to every enemy in range, including spawning points. For that your two options are Ice to remove it(and her Hex Bolt) or a well placed Lance Attack.
Remember that Stealth reduces the range by three, so you will need someone with long range if you can't reach her...then again, you could just be friends with a pop star instead.
Vs. Arcade
While Dark Aura may seem pointless, it can make things increasingly difficult if she nests near a spawning point. Thankfully she doesn't move if she's in attack range; just get to where you can negate her stealth and swing away!
Consul
Bramble Knight and Fungal Growth's auras don't affect the Nether Strider, but you'll want her moving around as much as possible. Old-Growth Hollow's minions can make the most of Virulent while she is around, while Grabby House's zombies can make a shooting gallery easier for her and worse for the heroes they tie down. Finally, any boss can work with her, especially those that can hit far while they are well protected under her aura.
Even with a good combination and her excellent DEX, it may be a good idea to play as Nether Assassin(her hero counterpart) for a few games until you know how well she works. Good experience and tile placement can end the exploration by her hands. Have the wrong tiles around and go gung-ho, and she can become a treasure card very quickly.
