Chimera are a fusion of humanoid intellect and bestial body. They most often take humanoid form, but there are plenty of exceptions to this rule. There are even some chimera which can almost pass for human, allowing them to infiltrate human realms. All chimera are magical fusions of natural creatures. With few exceptions such as Freyjans and Gnolls, most chimera do not reproduce naturally, and are instead created solely through magical fusion.
The goals and personalities of Chimera are as wild and varied as their forms, making them fickle creatures. Many, such as most Freyjans, are aligned with the Goddess and will work to defend Crystalia. But there are plenty of Chimera under the sway of the Dark Consul as well. And still others who are entirely neutral, motivated only by their own personal goals.
